About the Role
Seeking a Marketing & Business Development Executive to support global Financial Institutions (FI) sector activity, including business planning, budgeting, pitches, client targeting, digital marketing, and events. This role offers opportunities for career development within the business development function and encourages collaboration with other M&BD teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and share expertise on the FI sector, including products, services, and legal/regulatory developments.
- Prepare regular sector management reports and updates for senior stakeholders.
- Manage marketing spend against budget and analyze investment against return.
- Ensure website and intranet content for the FI sector is up-to-date.
- Assist in managing and developing clients within the FI sector.
- Brief the M&BD hub on repeatable M&BD tasks and act as a liaison between fee earners and the hub.
- Perform quality assurance for M&BD hub outputs and provide feedback.
- Support internal projects to improve sector team efficiency.
- Assist in the execution of key sector events, from planning to follow-up.
- Ensure key client contact information is stored and maintained on InterAction.
- Coordinate FI Sector calls and client teams calls, taking and circulating notes and actions.
- Assist fee earners with sector-specific tenders, including bid/no-bid processes and pitch logistics.
- Support the production of sector-specific capability statements and collation of sector-specific CVs.
- Assist in developing and producing presentation materials for pitches and client meetings.
- Support efforts to raise the profile of the sector through internal and external communication channels.
- Assist with the implementation of sector and firmwide client campaigns.
- Undertake market and client research, staying updated on sector changes.
- Provide support to international offices where the sector is active or developing.
Requirements
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
- Previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a distinct advantage.
- Marketing/business development experience is a distinct advantage.
- Ability to build trust amongst the fee-earning team and wider stakeholder community.
- Understands the need to manage expectations and has the ability to do so.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Understands when to act and when to ask for guidance.
- Possesses a high degree of poise and professionalism.
