About the Role

Provide innovative financial solutions tailored to clients' needs, working on various assets and assignments within the Consumer and Retail Group (CRG) sector. Support the CRG team and interact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs, expectations, and financial goals.
  • Develop and propose appropriate investment banking solutions for clients and their companies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients by understanding their business, financial goals, and industry trends.
  • Generate ideas and identify opportunities that expand the bank's client base and create new business opportunities.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on client companies to assess their financial health and valuation.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review, draft, and maintain legal documentation for transactions.
  • Collaborate with Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, Research, and Risk Management teams to provide comprehensive client solutions.
  • Engage with clients on their climate, transition strategies, and sustainable finance opportunities.
  • Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, delivering work that impacts the business function.
  • Set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance, and determine reward outcomes.
  • Lead collaborative assignments and guide team members.
  • Identify the need for specialized expertise to complete assignments.
  • Identify new directions for assignments and projects, utilizing cross-functional methodologies.
  • Consult on complex issues and advise People Leaders on escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls.
  • Perform work related to other areas, understanding inter-departmental coordination.
  • Collaborate with business-aligned support areas to stay informed about business activity and strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively.
  • Communicate complex information effectively.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Support high-profile transactions, including M&A, IPOs, and secondary offerings.
  • Collaborate with senior bankers and clients to deliver actionable recommendations and transaction updates.
  • Conduct deep-dive research on communications and media sectors, including competitive benchmarking and trend forecasting.

Requirements

  • Experience building and maintaining complex models for media, telecom, and digital businesses.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and evaluating income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and multi-layered debt structures.
  • Experience supporting high-profile transactions, including M&A, IPOs, and secondary offerings.
