About the Role

Perform daily project operations and engineering to coordinate project planning, engineering, VDC coordination, and generate basic financial reports. Provide onsite support for delivery coordination and material hand-offs in collaboration with project team, vendors, and xPL organization as required by project schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with xPL management to identify and discuss project issues and develop resolution plans.
  • Engage with project team, vendor, owner, and construction team resources to resolve project issues.
  • Maintain project documentation system, including uploading project-specific folders.
  • Maintain timely and comprehensive project documentation, including photography, meeting minutes, engineering documentation, shop drawings, and other project documentation.
  • Coordinate project delivery in accordance with project on-site delivery dates and sequence.
  • Develop and maintain delivery schedule aligned with project Contract Items List (CIL).
  • Manage project submittals, transmittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs) for defined project deliverables, emergent work, drawings, product approvals, and variances.
  • Review procurement and engineering packages to understand scope of work for each project vendor and integrator.
  • Record and manage Pending Change Order (PCO) reviews.
  • Provide onsite analysis for PCOs, including confirming lengths, quantities, and material conformance.
  • Report PCO findings to xPL management.
  • Generate and deliver project reports to the project team, including schedule, material status, manufacturing status, engineering document status, and minutes of meetings.
  • Facilitate site readiness coordination, including detailed transportation schedule and materials delivery methods.
  • Ensure onsite receiving requirements align with project schedule, demands, and delay notification requirements.
  • Conduct inventory of xPL deliveries and obtain appropriate chain of custody signature from the project team for items delivered to the project site.
  • Obtain proof of data for equipment and deliveries to ensure storage area meets environmental requirements and completion of predecessor work prior to delivery.
  • Conduct material reinspection for periods of extended storage.
  • Develop and/or collect documentation to support delay back charges and claims from site stakeholders.
  • Assist in collecting and uploading vendor and integrator close-out documentation per contract documents.
  • Participate in activities, duties, and responsibilities to ensure safe project deliveries.
  • Perform other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program in Construction Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, or related field of study.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or construction industry, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Field construction or engineering experience with knowledge of project scheduling is desired.
  • Able to understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
  • Good judgment to solve problems, escalate issues, and request prioritization of responsibilities.
  • Self-starter with project management fundamentals.
  • Able to quickly adapt while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills with effective presentation delivery.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork across organizational levels, management, and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to take direction, apply active listening skills, learn and process information quickly, ask clarifying questions, and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Familiar with collaborative tools (e.g., PROCORE, ACC, SAP, Clearstory).
  • Knowledgeable of continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, using hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands, talking, and hearing.
  • Must be able to frequently view a computer monitor and use a computer keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be mobile and occasionally travel both short and long distances via a variety of conveyances.
  • Must have the physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, use construction personnel hoists, climb ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
