About the Role

Our client, a leading retail company in Germany with over 230 employees, is seeking an Architect - Planning Coordinator for Building Construction in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. This role is crucial for managing a growing portfolio of commercial properties and supporting significant expansion plans, including new constructions and renovations.

Responsibilities

• Coordination of planning and project management.
• Technical planning responsibility for service phases 1-5 of HOAI.
• Management of all internal and external project stakeholders.
• Collaboration with internal expansion departments, construction project management, and external architects, structural engineers, and specialist planners.
• Preliminary investigations and feasibility studies, including site analyses.
• Permitting management and preliminary building applications.
• Liaison with authorities and alignment of plans with regulatory requirements.
• Evaluation of planning results for economic and schedule feasibility.
• Ensuring compliance with all technical, schedule, and legal requirements.
• Cost estimations and cost planning.
• Significant contribution to the development of future-oriented, sustainable building concepts for retail properties.

Requirements

• Completed education in Architecture or Construction Management / Construction Project Management.
• Several years of professional experience in building construction planning.
• Strong assertiveness, sense of responsibility, and confident demeanor, combined with negotiation skills and reliability.
• Goal-oriented communication with all interfaces and leadership of project teams.
• Ability for lateral thinking and a proactive, driving approach.
• Good knowledge of HOAI / VOB.
• High self-motivation for continuous professional development.
• Fluent German language skills (written and spoken) are essential.
• Proficiency in common MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of retail real estate is advantageous but not mandatory; experts from other asset classes are also welcome.
