About the Role

This is a critical role within the TA operation, creating and maintaining a safe accommodation environment to support the health and wellbeing of residents. The role supports this by providing a visible presence and trusted service in the delivery of a flexible, responsive high quality caretaking service across our TA portfolio. Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness to the internal and external elements of residential buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining a safe accommodation environment.
  • Providing a visible presence and trusted service.
  • Delivering a flexible, responsive, high-quality caretaking service.
  • Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness to internal and external building elements.
  • Working closely with TA colleagues to deliver a collective effort.
  • Ensuring TA accommodation portfolio remains Health and Safety compliant.
  • Assisting the service to improve the turnaround of empty properties.
  • Meeting challenging targets to ensure void properties are cleared and cleaned.
  • Undertaking minor works to expedite the re-letting process.

Requirements

  • Must not provide personal information or CV in attachments.
  • Must not use AI-generated content in applications.
  • Must have strong practical skills.
  • Must have experience carrying out painting, minor repairs, and specialist cleaning.
  • Must have the physical capability to undertake manual handling and other day-to-day demands safely.
  • Must have an understanding of health and safety.
  • Must be able to carry out basic inspections and take appropriate action.
  • Must be able to use, handle, and store equipment and cleaning products in line with COSHH regulations.
  • Must be committed to learning and development.
  • Must have a willingness to complete relevant training (health and safety, COSHH, safeguarding, manual handling).
  • An enhanced DBS will be required for working in hostel environments.
  • Must have a caring, inclusive approach.
