About the Role

As a Member Support Specialist, you will serve as an ambassador for patients, ensuring an exceptional in-office experience by removing barriers to care. You will manage the office environment, act as the first point of contact for patient feedback, and provide support to the Practice Coordinator, Operations Manager, and in-office providers. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-centric skills, with a focus on empathy and compassion.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the C-I-CARE framework in all patient interactions to ensure a positive in-office experience, including patient intake, schedule management, follow-up scheduling, billing and insurance knowledge, and patient feedback monitoring.
  • Perform all front-of-house duties such as check-in/check-out, insurance verification, paperwork, test preparation, and meeting service level expectations.
  • Contribute to team development through rounding, team huddles, problem-solving, and assisting providers with ad hoc requests.
  • Master the technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and the Electronic Medical Record System (1Life), for patient and team member interactions.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including daily office upkeep, maintaining the appearance of patient and employee spaces, restocking supplies, and organization.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in high-touch customer or patient-facing roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, and feedback-driven multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to persist through change, demonstrate a forward-thinking perspective under pressure, and take action on challenges.
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, internet navigation, and simultaneous use of multiple software systems.
