About the Role
Mission North is seeking a proactive, curious, and impact-driven Director to lead day-to-day client programs and support growth within Enterprise Technology Group accounts. This role involves delivering excellence for clients and mentoring a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of Enterprise Tech clients, leading end-to-end execution of PR campaigns and programs, teams, and stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted strategic partner to clients and a motivating team leader.
- Synthesize complex technical concepts into compelling narratives for business, trade, and new media.
- Draft strategic deliverables, including campaign plans, media pitches, and speaking/award submissions.
- Engage with traditional and non-traditional media to drive awareness and secure client coverage.
- Identify creative ways to connect news cycles with client opportunities.
- Contribute to new business efforts by ideating narratives, strategies, and storylines, and overseeing junior team members in content development.
- Cultivate the agency’s sphere of influence with peers and VCs.
- Manage 1-2 direct reports.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7-10 years of communications or PR agency experience, preferably with technology companies or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience developing, directing, and executing strategic communications programs blending PR, content marketing, social media, and data.
- Experience helping disruptive technology companies develop compelling messaging, storylines, and thought leadership platforms.
- Established relationships with top-tier trade media, bloggers, vertical market media, and national/local business media.
- Experience running integrated PR programs, including paid content.
- Experience working with household names and emerging/disruptor brands in B2B technology, including data infrastructure, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, business process optimization, SaaS, and other modern business technology stack elements.
