About the Role
Equitable is seeking a Regional Vice President (External Wholesaler) for the Individual Retirement team in the RIA channel to drive Annuity Sales growth in their assigned region. This remote role requires up to 40% travel in the Northeast territory (NY, MA, CT, NH, ME, RI, VT).
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with existing clients.
- Penetrate all potential clients within existing clients.
- Assess clients' needs to promote new products.
- Educate and train clients on Annuity products.
- Develop new RIA relationships.
- Manage sales territory.
- Follow up on Internal Sales Desk leads.
- Maintain sales goals and identify, create, and implement annuity sales opportunities.
- Communicate with Head of RIA sales on an ongoing basis.
- Travel within sales territory up to 40% as needed.
- Work remotely with periodic office visits as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years RIA sales experience.
- 2+ years experience in sales of Variable Annuities.
- FINRA Series 6 or 7, and Series 63 Licenses.
- Annuity, Life and Health Insurance License.
- Experience in selling annuities to RIAs and fee-based advisors.
- CLU, ChFC and/or CFP is a big plus.
- Direct Sales Experience.
- Skilled communicator with ability to simplify complicated details for various audiences.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
- Ability to develop strategies and business plans to deliver and exceed expected business objectives and results.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
