About the Role
The AHFH ReStore Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, processing, and pricing donated merchandise in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role ensures timely movement of goods to the sales floor, provides excellent donor service, and supports store operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer and donor service; greet donors and issue receipts.
- Adhere to all organizational safety policies and procedures, including OSHA guidelines, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe warehouse environment.
- Safely unload donations and operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, dollies).
- Sort, process, and price merchandise according to company standards; identify high-value and recyclable items.
- Maintain accurate donation records and oversee recycling bins.
- Ensure merchandise is expedited to the sales floor promptly.
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks and perform housekeeping duties.
- Comply with all security and organizational policies.
- Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Cross-train and assist in other store functions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or 4 years of related experience.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Specific vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required.
