About the Role

Wagner Lumber, a world-class hardwood lumber manufacturer, is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to manage day-to-day purchasing, receiving, and inventory functions critical to mill operations. This role serves as the operational backbone of the maintenance supply chain, partnering with various internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requests for parts and consumables from maintenance and production.
  • Issue RFQs to vendors and evaluate quotes based on price, lead time, and quality.
  • Place purchase orders through approved channels and track open orders.
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify part numbers and quantities, and stock parts.
  • Maintain accurate inventory across 2,000+ SKUs in Fiix CMMS.
  • Conduct periodic cycle counts, reconcile variances, and adjust reorder points.
  • Support kiosk and scanning system workflows, including transitions to tablet-based systems.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with key MRO vendors.
  • Escalate sourcing problems, quality issues, and warranty claims.
  • Identify alternate sources for high-risk parts.
  • Maintain receipt documentation.
  • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Comfort with CMMS (Fiix experience is a plus).
  • Solid Excel skills for tracking and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail with part numbers, pricing, and documentation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with mechanical parts (motors, gearboxes, bearings, bushings, sprockets, chain, hydraulics, and pneumatics).
  • Experience with cloud-based inventory systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a safe and effective manner.
  • Adherence to safety policies.
  • Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs occasionally.
