About the Role
This role involves carrying out electrical testing and remedial works on commercial and industrial electrical installations, identifying faults, and ensuring compliance with the latest regulations. It's ideal for someone who enjoys both investigative and practical aspects of electrical work.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on commercial and industrial electrical installations
- Identifying faults, non-compliances and potential risks, then producing high-quality reports that provide clear recommendations
- Completing remedial and rectification works following inspections, ensuring installations meet the latest BS7671 requirements
- Producing Minor Works Certificates, Remedial Completion Reports and associated compliance documentation
- Carrying out additional specialist inspections and testing, including emergency lighting, RCD testing, thermographic surveys and distribution board maintenance
- Working directly with customers on-site, providing a professional service while representing PTSG to the highest standard
- Using modern testing equipment and reporting software to deliver accurate, efficient results
- Staying up to date with industry regulations, standards and best practice
Requirements
- Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3, AM2 or equivalent qualifications
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (or equivalent inspection and testing qualifications)
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- Experience carrying out electrical installation work within commercial environments
- Fixed wire testing experience would be highly advantageous
- A full UK driving licence
- A self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job properly first time
- Someone who can work independently while still being a great team player
