About the Role
This role involves carrying out electrical testing and remedial works on commercial and industrial installations, ensuring compliance with the latest standards. It's ideal for individuals who enjoy both diagnosing electrical issues and performing practical repairs.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) on commercial and industrial electrical installations.
- Identifying faults, non-compliances, and potential risks, then producing high-quality reports with clear recommendations.
- Completing remedial and rectification works following inspections to ensure installations meet the latest BS7671 requirements.
- Producing Minor Works Certificates, Remedial Completion Reports, and associated compliance documentation.
- Carrying out additional specialist inspections and testing, including emergency lighting, RCD testing, thermographic surveys, and distribution board maintenance.
- Working directly with customers on-site, providing a professional service and representing PTSG to the highest standard.
- Using modern testing equipment and reporting software to deliver accurate, efficient results.
- Staying up to date with industry regulations, standards, and best practice.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3, AM2, or equivalent qualifications.
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (or equivalent inspection and testing qualifications).
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Experience carrying out electrical installation work within commercial environments.
- Fixed wire testing experience is highly advantageous.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job properly first time.
- Ability to work independently while being a great team player.
