About the Role

CI Financial is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our D&A team as the Director of Business Analytics and Insights. In this pivotal role, you will drive strategic initiatives that enhance business performance and stakeholder engagement by combining strong business partnership, data-driven insights, and practical application of AI-enabled analytics. You will lead a talented analytics team to deliver impactful solutions, identify opportunities to automate and scale insight generation, and ensure analytics capabilities align with our company's goals and values.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of business analytics professionals to deliver high-quality insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand priorities and use data to guide strategies.
  • Develop and manage analytics strategies that provide actionable insights for key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the organization.
  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and relevant metrics to measure business performance.
  • Continuously monitor, create dashboards, and report on metrics, providing actionable insights.
  • Drive the adoption of analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Work closely with IT and D&A functions to ensure high data quality, appropriate controls, and compliance.
  • Identify, prioritize, and help implement AI use cases that improve business analytics.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation within the analytics function.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by actively exploring emerging AI technologies, analytics tools, and automation capabilities.
  • Rapidly prototype, test, and validate new ideas, translating concepts into practical business solutions.
  • Partner with technical teams to develop analytics products, AI-enabled tools, web applications, and user-facing solutions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in business analytics and business intelligence within a B2B environment, ideally in financial services or asset management.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), statistical software (e.g., Python), and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of SQL.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and hands-on experience evaluating, prototyping, and applying emerging AI, automation, and productivity technologies to solve business problems and drive innovation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern data architectures.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of conveying complex data and insights to executive teams, business leaders, and partners.
  • Experience developing user-facing analytics products, including web applications, AI-enabled tools, portals, or self-service solutions using technologies such as React, Streamlit, Power Apps, or equivalent frameworks, is an asset.
  • Knowledge of asset management, financial services, or wealth management industries.
  • Experience leading AI-enabled analytics initiatives or partnering with technical teams to translate business needs into practical AI solutions.
