About the Role

Federal Work Study Toolroom Assistants will support the Jewelry and Metal Arts Department by assisting students and faculty with toolroom operations and basic administrative functions. This role provides students with opportunities to enhance their skills with current equipment, develop customer service abilities, and gain administrative experience.

Responsibilities

  • Check equipment and tools in and out of the toolroom for students and faculty.
  • Monitor lab usage to ensure students are adhering to lab policies.
  • Assist with the maintenance of approved lab equipment and tools.
  • Assist with general departmental administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

  • 410 Bush Street, 1st Floor Toolroom
