About the Role

We are seeking a Sommelier with a genuine passion for wine, exceptional product knowledge, and a natural talent for delivering thoughtful, personalized service. You will curate bespoke wine experiences for our guests, manage our wine cellar with precision, and inspire both guests and team members through your expertise and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Curate bespoke wine experiences for guests.
• Manage the wine cellar with precision.
• Inspire guests and team members through expertise and enthusiasm.
• Deliver wine training and share knowledge with Front of House teams.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Junior Sommelier or Sommelier for at least 1 year.
• Highly organised with experience managing wine inventory, stock control, and cellar operations.
• Previous luxury hotel or high-end restaurant experience is highly desirable.
• Flexible and willing to meet the demands of a luxury hospitality operation.

Skills

• Exceptional product knowledge.
• Thoughtful, personalized service.
• Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, vintages, food pairings, and tasting notes.
• Confident communication.
• Ability to connect with guests.
• Anticipate guest preferences.
• Confidently recommend perfect pairings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Birchstreet, Canva, and other hospitality systems.
• Natural communicator.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
