About the Role
Lone Star Circle of Care is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist passionate about serving the underserved population in Central Texas. This role involves providing care both in-person and virtually within an outpatient setting, focusing on collaborative treatment planning to help patients achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide diagnoses and care planning using initial interviews and screenings.
- Collaborate with patients to assess strengths, barriers, and psychosocial needs.
- Effectively communicate clinical impressions to patients.
- Interact and collaborate with community partners and emergency medical/psychiatric service providers to ensure patient safety.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation 1-2 times a year.
- Document efficiently within an electronic health record.
- Conduct telemedicine visits.
- Communicate and meet with colleagues virtually.
Requirements
- Board-certified psychiatrist.
- Passionate about working with the underserved population.
- Comfortable providing care both in-person and virtually.
- Willing to grow a practice where you and your patients work together to decide the best course of treatment in achieving their goals in an outpatient setting.
- Mission-focused and passionate about improving access to quality mental healthcare.
- Proactive and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Trauma-informed and competent in the provision of integrated behavioral healthcare.
- Comfortable working independently in a group setting while also seeking support and consultation from colleagues.
- Extensive knowledge of DSM-5-TR.
- Current valid license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Possess computer/technology skills for EHR documentation, telemedicine, and virtual communication.
