About the Role
The Senior Manager, Talent Management will develop strategic business partnerships to provide advice, support, and consultation on leadership development and talent management initiatives. This role focuses on the employee development experience from onboarding throughout their career at Aviso.
Responsibilities
- Acts as an in-house consultant to HR Business Partners and management in areas such as talent identification, succession planning, competency development, needs assessment, learning and development for high potentials, career development, leadership assessment and development, performance management, and strategic planning.
- Gains cross-functional support for key objectives and priorities to develop and deliver an enterprise-wide values & behaviours leadership model and framework.
- Determines talent assessment and organizational metrics for talent health, integrating talent programs into Workday.
- Refines and scales succession planning and leadership management processes for ongoing improvement and effectiveness.
- Works closely with HR Business Partners to identify individual and group development requirements and determine plans.
- Analyzes enterprise talent data, developing materials for senior leadership and board discussions.
- Partners with People Analytics and HR Systems to leverage Workday and activate business-friendly reports.
- Identifies, researches, sources, designs, delivers, and manages programs for leadership development needs.
- Builds career paths and orchestrates internal cross-divisional movement.
- Designs and delivers programs to support growth, such as mentorship and career advisory services.
- Leads the design and implementation of key initiatives like enterprise leadership development programs and curriculum.
- Designs cross-functional experiences to accelerate development for targeted talent pools and manages special projects related to talent.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in talent management or organizational development.
- 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a financial services company.
- An experienced professional with the initiative to take a project and run with it through to success with minimum supervision.
- Fluent communication skills in English are required.
- Bilingual skills in French are an asset.
- Experience with competencies, adult learning principles, assessment, and development tools is an asset.
- Strong design, facilitation, and program management skills.
- Proven success quickly building credibility at all levels of the organization, including with senior leaders.
- Demonstrates executive presence and gravitas.
- Experience juggling multiple competing demands, demonstrating urgency, flexibility, and agility as business priorities shift.
