About the Role
In this position, you will lead a small team in Global Partner Management, actively shaping collaboration with international partners. You will combine strategic thinking with operational execution, further develop processes and quality standards, and ensure efficient workflows and high service quality with your interfaces, thereby significantly contributing to the stability and further development of our global partner business.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional and disciplinary leadership for a small team in Global Partner Management (Global Partner Relations, Global Commissions, Accounts Payable), including conducting employee reviews, acting as the primary point of contact for inquiries regarding international fares, identifying training needs for team members, and holding regular team meetings.
- Manage and further develop international partner relationships throughout their entire lifecycle, from implementation and operational processing, including commission management and settlement, to optimization.
- Coordinate and align with internal interfaces (e.g., Technology, Product, GDS, OPS, Finance, and Sales) and external partners for efficient problem resolution.
- Ensure high content quality and continuously optimize booking and processes.
- Develop, establish, and optimize process and quality standards and ensure their adherence within the team.
- Take responsibility for analyzing revenues and performance to identify growth potential and evaluate existing partnerships.
- Lead, coordinate, and prioritize projects, ensuring successful implementation.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial and Sales units to support international expansion.
- Manage escalations for complex partner and/or system issues.
Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship as a travel agent or tourism merchant.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of professional and project experience in the tourism industry, particularly with travel booking systems.
- Strong understanding of operational processes and service quality.
- Proficient in handling key performance indicators and a good sense for interdependencies.
- Clear, binding communication and enjoyment in developing teams.
- Structured way of working and decisiveness.
- Very good German and good English language skills.
