About the Role
The Hagedorn Little Village School, Jack Joel Center for Special Children, is seeking a Certified School Psychologist to support the CPSE department. This role involves conducting assessments for children aged 2.5 to 5.5 referred by their local school district.
Responsibilities
- Conduct social history interviews and classroom observations
- Conduct cognitive and educational evaluations
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments in community pre-schools
- Provide families with information regarding the CPSE process and the evaluations conducted with their child
- Participate in school district meetings and present the evaluations to the Committee on Preschool Special Education
- Complete Individual Education Plans (IEP)
- Conduct parent training sessions (optional)
Requirements
- Fingerprinting and New York State criminal background check is mandatory
