About the Role

As a Yard Associate I, you'll play an essential role in our daily operations by safely loading materials, organizing inventory, and providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to load customer orders and transport materials throughout the yard and warehouse.
• Assist customers by loading products into vehicles while providing outstanding customer service.
• Organize, clean, and maintain the warehouse and landscape supply yard.
• Ensure materials are properly identified, packaged, labeled, and stored.
• Visually inspect materials to verify quality and conformance to company standards.
• Maintain warehouse supplies, tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Organize, plan, and prioritize daily work assignments.
• Complete all required documentation accurately at the end of each shift.
• Follow inventory procedures and assist with material movement throughout the facility.
• Support company policies, procedures, and operational goals.
• Promote a safe work environment by following all OSHA and company safety policies.
• Maintain punctual and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Familiarity with inventory procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Point-of-Sale (POS) experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Routinely lift, carry, push, and pull 25–75 pounds without assistance.
• Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment safely.
• Stand and walk continuously throughout the workday.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.
• Frequently use hands and feet to operate equipment.
• Frequently communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment.
