About the Role
Bodycote is the world's largest provider of thermal processing services, employing thousands of highly skilled staff globally. This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the calibration recall system for furnaces and other equipment.
- Completes temperature uniformity survey documentation and review.
- Responsibility for inventory of consumable maintenance supplies pertaining to calibration and inspection.
- Performs system accuracy checks under direction of Quality Manager.
- Assist the inspection department when necessary, checking hardness, visual inspection.
- Reads and understands Quality Manual and related procedures.
- Brings any irregularities, discrepancies or concerns to supervisor immediately.
- Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
- Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
- Responsible for the care and treatment of customer's inventory and performs duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
- Must be able to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.
Requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical.
- Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
- Blueprint reading preferred.
- May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
- Must have knowledge by experience or training of basic math.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
- Must be able to work in a sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone.
Skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Professional and patient style in dealing with customers and staff
- Precise and detail-oriented
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases

Experience Level
- Minimum one year of experience in thermal processing, metallurgy, customer specifications, etc.
Education Level
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
