About the Role
Lupa is building an AI-native operating system for veterinary practices and pet parents, aiming to replace fragmented systems with an intelligent platform for scheduling, client communication, clinical documentation, and AI-driven care guidance. This role offers a chance to join a rapidly growing, well-funded startup making a significant impact in the animal health tech industry.
Responsibilities
- Own the month-end close process from start to finish, producing accurate reporting for leadership.
- Manage FinOps end-to-end, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management.
- Build the KPI reporting layer for real-time performance tracking and utilize AI for financial process automation.
- Business partner with commercial, product, and engineering teams on financial decisions.
- Build the budget and rolling forecast alongside the Finance Director.
- Own the analysis for key commercial questions such as pricing, unit economics, cost to serve, and market entry.
- Prepare financial data for board and investor reporting, including involvement in funding rounds.
Requirements
- ACA qualified (essential); ACCA or CIMA considered for the right candidate.
- Recently qualified or 0-2 years PQE, ideally Big 4 trained in audit, transaction services, or deal advisory.
- Strong academics and commercial sharpness for strategic conversations.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and high ownership, taking responsibility beyond the job description.
- Experience in a B2B SaaS or tech scale-up finance function (nice to have).
- Xero experience and/or financial modeling skills (nice to have).
- International exposure (nice to have).
