About the Role

The RV Service Technician performs maintenance, repairs, and installations on company and customer vehicles with a focus on quality, efficiency, safety, and cleanliness. This role offers a rewarding career path with comprehensive training and certification paid for by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Receive job priorities from Service Advisor or Foreman
  • Test, diagnose, and make repairs to RVs using diagnostic tools, manufacturer instructions, and mechanical knowledge
  • Install equipment and accessories onto RVs and test for proper function
  • Provide customers with instructions on proper use and care of installed equipment
  • Review and update work orders using the computer system to document actions performed
  • Safely transport vehicles to and from repair areas
  • Assist parts and warranty teams by providing required information for parts and warranty claims
  • Perform live demonstrations of RV system functionality for new/used RVs sold
  • Perform light indoor shop maintenance and housekeeping
  • Record and report any external damage discovered on vehicles

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Experience using basic hand and power tools
  • HVAC, building trades, automotive or mechanical experience
  • Ability to follow safety instructions and promote a safe working environment
  • Ability to read technical diagrams or blueprints
  • Customer friendly, observant and well organized
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team, in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in following verbal and written guidelines to perform job functions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently
  • Exposure to inside and outside adverse environmental conditions, such as fumes, dust, oils, mechanical moving parts, moving vehicles, fluctuating weather conditions, and occasional hazardous chemicals or materials

Salary/Compensations

  • $18.00-$25.00/hour
  • Overtime eligibility
  • Bonus incentive program eligible – Up to $10k+ annually
  • Potential to earn up to $40/hour plus Overtime and bonus opportunities
