About the Role
As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of vehicles. You will diagnose and repair vehicles, ensure the service shop is maintained in a clean, organized, hazard-free manner, and participate in required shop safety and technical training activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Requirements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to take initiative
