About the Role

Extreme Systems Engineer provides technology and product consulting, technical sales support for various account opportunities, and performs high-level and in-depth technical presentations for customers, prospects, and Extreme channel partners.

Responsibilities

• Provides technology and product consulting.
• Provides technical sales support for account opportunities.
• Performs high-level and in-depth technical presentations for customers, prospects, and channel partners.
• Supports RFI/RFP responses.
• Organizes and leads Proof of Concept activities.
• Designs solutions meeting customer requirements.
• Participates as a specialist on assigned virtual teams.
• Contributes to other team activities.
• Supports customer evaluations, demonstrations, and detailed design requirements.

Requirements

• Excellent presentation skills.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Strong, successful pre-sales engineering track record in the industry and territory in a similar position.
• Ability to work as part of customer project teams on design and PoC labs.
• Ability to set criteria for successful PoCs and overall solution designs.
• Tenacity and perseverance (customer advocate facing internally to Extreme).
• Ability to build, develop, and maintain a network of people at the customer/partner side independent of sales.
• Accepted as the trusted advisor.
• Willingness to assume a team-lead role for the account team when/if business requires additional resources.
• Experience working with partners is a plus for technical training on products.
• Major account experience is necessary.
• Experience in closing deals is necessary.
• Good general hands-on lab experience is required.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of future trends and market directions.

Salary/Compensations

• OTE is on a 70/30 split and is based on qualifications and experience between 120-130K OTE.
