About the Role

NRDC is seeking an Advocate to work with its Pollinators & Pesticides Team to protect pollinators, our health, and our planet from dangerous pesticide use. This role focuses on state campaigns, federal advocacy, litigation, and public education. This is a limited-term, 2-year position.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior staff to develop and execute strategies for state campaigns, federal advocacy, and national communications.
• Meet with policymakers and agency staff to influence policy and cultivate champions for pollinator protection.
• Build and maintain relationships with diverse partner organizations and coalitions.
• Speak in public forums, including testifying at hearings and speaking with media.
• Develop scientific and regulatory expertise and create persuasive materials like factsheets, reports, and blogs.
• Develop innovative solutions and tactics to address emerging problems.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of relevant experience, including advocacy/organizing/political, policy/administrative/technical, or legal experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; a relevant graduate degree preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed.
