About the Role
AREA 17 is partnered with Craft on the launch of the 2026 Cohort, a structured entry point designed to grow and nurture junior talent into the leaders of tomorrow. You'll work in small, autonomous teams alongside senior strategists and designers, learning by doing rather than sitting on the sidelines with colleagues at the same stage of their careers.
Responsibilities
- Lead brand design across digital-first projects, translating strategic positioning into visual systems and identities.
- Concept and execute motion, typography, system design, and identity work, moving between them depending on the brief.
- Build for AI, climate, health, and arts-and-culture clients.
Requirements
- Early-career but past your first studio job - a couple of years in brand or design somewhere.
- Ideas-first, with real conceptual and typographic strength.
- Pull references from well beyond graphic design.
- Can read strategy and use design to express it.
- Curious about AI tools, but you don't need to be fluent in them yet.
