About the Role

This role involves providing advice on Defined Contribution (DC) schemes, focusing on relationship management, governance, investment strategies, and technical pension scheme knowledge within a specialist DC division.

Responsibilities

  • Build client relations, identify and meet client needs, and drive client relationships forward.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market practice, legislation, and DC governance requirements.
  • Identify suitable investment strategies and structures tailored to client needs and circumstances.
  • Conduct investment manager selection and DC provider exercises.
  • Support clients with ongoing governance through regular meetings and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Assist with projects such as master trust/GPP reviews, selection exercises, and pension arrangement buy-outs/wind-ups.
  • Conduct research on master trust/GPP providers and their evolving propositions.
  • Draft advice to a sign-off standard.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced team members within a team environment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in the UK DC pension scheme advisory sector within a consultancy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
