About the Role
Collaborate in building enterprise network solutions and engineer infrastructure technology to comply with security, resilience, sustainability, and operational requirements with observability and guardrails built in. Utilize automation for testing and deployment, identifying opportunities to enhance performance and reduce inefficiencies. This role offers a chance to share engineering best practices and provide thought leadership.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and manage the selection, creation, and maintenance of technologies to meet customer needs, strategic targets, and architecture outcomes.
- Develop products using modern engineering practices and tools.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to develop product roadmaps and manage product lifecycles.
- Support engineered products by responding to customer feedback, new feature requests, and production issues.
- Help customers consume products.
- Design and engineer intuitive, self-service infrastructure products within a team.
- Lead and drive standards for Cisco and Arista networks.
- Develop technical skills through continuous learning and development.
- Contribute to the delivery of infrastructure as code solutions.
- Build awareness of design thinking tools and techniques with users to improve products.
- Provide operational support for pattern or product-related issues.
- Work with key vendors in the delivery of infrastructure services and technology for the product.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience managing large enterprise network environments with 10,000+ devices.
- Proven design, implementation, and management of enterprise-grade networks using Cisco and Arista platforms.
- Experience with Arista Fabric with VxLAN on-prem deployment.
- Experience with traditional Cisco enterprise deployment.
- Extensive knowledge of layer 2 and 3 protocols (STP, OSPF, BGP, VxLAN, EVPN) to build scalable and resilient networks.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki networking solutions, including Dashboard management, MX deployment and administration, site-to-site VPNs, security policies, MS switching, and MR wireless design and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in a financial services environment on trader voice infrastructure.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments, specifically responding to and leading on business-impacting incidents.
- Strong experience with multicast technologies and their interoperation across Cisco and Arista VxLAN platforms.
- Experience working in an agile manner on both operations and projects.
- Ability to work independently and drive one's own workstack as part of a larger team.
- Strong collaborative communication skills for articulating technical concepts clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
- Experience with large-scale WAN with traffic engineering policies.
