About the Role

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to partner with the Global Head of Finance, driving our finance transformation agenda. This broad, hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and enjoys solving complex challenges. You will lead the implementation of scalable financial systems and processes, elevate reporting standards, and act as a business partner to drive insight-led performance. Your financial acumen, systems expertise, and collaborative approach will be essential in establishing a high-performing finance function aligned with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive process and structural improvements to support group-wide transformation and growth ambitions.
  • Lead the rollout and optimisation of Deltek, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual), aligned with internal policies and statutory obligations.
  • Build strong relationships with Pillar Project teams to support strategic decision-making and deliver actionable financial insights.
  • Oversee core financial functions, including reconciliations, payables, receivables, general ledger, and cash management.
  • Support annual and rolling forecast processes, scenario planning, and performance reporting.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, such as financial modelling and cost optimisation.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), ideally with 2+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a broad finance role, ideally within a high-growth, transformation, or international context.
  • Strong technical accounting expertise and comfort with financial systems.
  • Practical knowledge across the full finance remit, including Accounts Payable & Receivable, Treasury & Credit Control, Payroll, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Statutory and Management Reporting.
  • Proven success in implementing or enhancing finance systems and operational processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communicator, confident in influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in a start-up, scale-up, or PE-backed environment (desirable).
  • Exposure to global operations or multi-entity finance structures (desirable).
  • Involvement in building or professionalising a finance function from early stages (desirable).
