About the Role
We are seeking to strengthen our Regulatory & Compliance department with individuals at our Cologne, Düsseldorf, Berlin, or Munich locations.
Responsibilities
- Holistic consulting: You will support national and international organizations in the strategic, procedural, and organizational implementation of complex regulatory requirements.
- ESG Compliance: You will assist in the implementation of legal acts such as CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, LkSG/CSDDD, EUFLR, EUDR, PPWR, and EmpCo/UWG.
- Digital Compliance: You will guide clients in implementing forward-looking EU digital laws such as the Data Act, NIS-2, the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), the AI Act, and DORA to anchor digital sovereignty in resilient governance structures.
- General Compliance: You will contribute to the development and enhancement of Compliance Management Systems (CMS) and the implementation of measures for anti-money laundering and corruption prevention.
- Interdisciplinary interface: You will work closely with our lawyers, auditors, and consultants to translate legal requirements into concrete corporate processes and policies.
- Project work: Depending on seniority, you will take on (partial) project management, act as a point of contact for our clients, and drive the further development of our consulting services.
Requirements
- You have completed a degree in Business Law (Wirtschaftsjurist/in), ideally supplemented by a Master's degree in Compliance, or have successfully completed a first state examination in law.
- You have initial or several years of professional experience in Compliance, ideally in a consulting firm, law firm, or the compliance department of a company.
- You have a strong interest in the fields of ESG Compliance, EU Digital Regulation, and general compliance structures.
- You possess analytical thinking skills and the ability to translate complex legal texts into pragmatic, procedural solutions for companies.
- You have the ability to conduct sound legal research.
- Confident demeanor, strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as a structured and self-reliant way of working characterize you.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills complete your profile.
