About the Role
Kindred Hospital San Francisco Bay Area is a 99-bed long-term acute care hospital offering extended recovery care. Our clinicians play a vital role in the recovery process for chronic, critically ill, and medically complex patients.
Responsibilities
- Administer safe and competent respiratory care as ordered per physician.
- Monitor mechanical ventilation.
- Administer medications.
- Perform patient assessment.
- Understand ramifications of hemodynamic monitoring.
- Understand blood work results.
- Monitor, teach, and train.
Requirements
- Registry eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Certified / Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Appropriate licensure from state licensure agency.
- BCLS and ACLS certifications and maintain them for the duration of employment.

- As our most acute level of care, our specialty hospitals offer the same critical care patients receive in a traditional hospital or intensive care unit, but for an extended recovery period.
