About the Role
The KPMG Family Office, Cross Border Tax practice serves as trusted tax advisors to high net worth individuals and their families, focusing on complex US and Canadian cross-border tax matters and generational wealth transfer strategies. We are seeking motivated tax professionals passionate about continuous learning and resolving complex tax issues, offering exceptional career opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engagements including Canadian and US income tax planning, estate planning and tax compliance.
- Plan workflow and organize teams for the preparation of personal tax returns and review the work of staff for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop relationships, understand client needs, and provide tax solutions and planning strategies.
- Prepare memos and other deliverables by conducting tax research and analyzing complex issues.
- Collaborate with other practices and member firms to attract new business.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in cross-border Canada and US personal tax advisory and compliance, including gift and estate planning for HNW individuals and shareholders.
- Proven ability to lead private client engagements and interact effectively with clients.
- Experienced in all facets of project management including team leadership, workflow management, team and client communication, documentation, and managing financial metrics and profitability.
- Strong Microsoft Office software knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Salary/Compensations
- $115,000 to $165,000
- May be eligible for bonus awards.
