About the Role
This role is for undergraduate university students enrolled in Vision Science or Optometry to gain hands-on experience working in a clinical setting. HCF is looking for Optometry students who are passionate about eye care, eyewear fashion and enjoy working with people in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret optical prescriptions
- Provide fashion and practical advice to assist customers in selecting frames
- Assist with and make recommendations on optical lenses
- Patient care management
- Assisting on reception when required
- Keeping patient records up to date
Requirements
- Must be available to travel and work at various HCF Eyecare Centres around Sydney, based on needs
- Must be available to work on Saturdays and during university holidays
- Second or third year Optometry student currently enrolled at university studying Bachelor of Vision Sciences
- Ideally, have some retail and optical experience
