About the Role
Project Managers are organizational and operational experts who ensure teams have what they need to deliver on time. They create release plans, build delivery roadmaps, and establish inclusive team dynamics. They extend their collaborative mindset and business value delivery to clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead one or more project workstreams and create an environment of trust for autonomous teams.
- Create and maintain release plans for iterative and incremental value delivery.
- Be accountable for iteration planning, tracking, reporting, scope, prioritization, estimates, risks, and financials.
- Bring innovative ideas to project management to deliver exceptional business value.
- Orchestrate the design and build of critical and complex custom-designed, multi-tier business applications.
- Propose and deliver a roadmap and plans supporting client business strategies.
- Proactively manage risk and communicate with the client with integrity.
- Ensure delivered value is explicit and understood by the client and teams.
- Set up project processes in line with agile best practices and ensure their sustainability.
- Navigate organizational structures and politics to drive outcomes and develop client relationships.
Requirements
- Ample experience managing enterprise projects with end-to-end responsibility.
- Comfortable with release planning, estimation, capacity planning, proposal building, contract negotiation, and managing project financials.
- Understanding of various software development approaches (traditional, agile, etc.) and ability to consult clients on best approaches.
- Belief in the power of a flat hierarchy and enjoyment of facilitating collaboration sessions.
- Recent experience working with distributed or co-located teams.
- Resilient in ambiguous situations and adaptable to approach challenges from multiple perspectives.
- Skilled in managing risks.
- Seen as a coach and mentor, motivating others and influencing teammates.
- Proven leader with a track record of encouraging teammates' professional development and relationships.
- Skilled in cultivating strong partnerships and understanding the importance of relationship building.
