About the Role
Support the day-to-day tax operations and provide tax planning and structuring for Netflix’s growing studio production business in London. This role offers growth potential, allowing you to become a well-rounded tax professional with deep industry understanding.
Responsibilities
- Research and understand UK and international film and television production incentives.
- Assist UK-based and inbound productions with evaluating and applying for UK production incentives.
- Provide support and advice on UK tax matters impacting production to relevant teams.
- Collaborate across production tax to evaluate and obtain global production incentives.
- Coordinate with external advisors and internal teams for tax computations and returns.
- Support Production Tax Senior Analysts on business, tax, and incentive planning matters.
- Liaise with the content accounting team on the financial reporting of incentives.
- Monitor and analyze tax legislation, informing business partners clearly.
- Research complex tax issues impacting productions and the UK business.
- Provide tax input on projects outside productions, new business initiatives, and ad hoc queries.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountancy or tax qualification.
- Individuals who have recently qualified and are working towards the level of senior/assistant manager in an accountancy practice or studio are likely to be well suited.
- Recommended 3 to 4 years of UK tax consulting or industry experience.
- Experience in tax issues relating to studio productions is preferred, but not required.
