Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Japan Sales, APAC Marketing, Product, and cross-functional stakeholders to align marketing activities with local business priorities and regional go-to-market plans.
  • Develop and execute integrated demand generation programs across physical and digital channels to drive awareness, engagement, qualified leads, and pipeline contribution in the Japan market.
  • Partner with Sales to identify target accounts, support account-based marketing initiatives, and improve conversion from marketing activities to sales opportunities.
  • Manage localization of global and regional marketing content, including messaging, campaign assets, presentations, and customer-facing materials, to ensure relevance for Japanese enterprise customers.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and campaign performance to recommend improvements and optimize marketing effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular updates and performance reports for Japan and APAC leadership, including campaign outcomes, pipeline impact, budget utilization, and key risks or opportunities.
  • Track KPIs and refine marketing strategies using data, analytics, and market insights.
  • Act as a strong advocate for the Japan market, representing local priorities effectively and securing necessary attention, support, and resources from the broader marketing organization.
  • Build strong relationships with Japan Sales, Presales, Product teams, and the wider APAC organization.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate sound judgment and prioritization, focusing resources on initiatives with the greatest business impact.
  • Possess strong digital marketing expertise and the ability to lead, optimize, and scale digital programs that drive measurable results in Japan.
  • Be proactive, resourceful, and self-reliant, identifying opportunities, recommending new initiatives, and driving them forward with minimal dependency on others.
  • Work with agility and flexibility, increasing investment in high-performing activities while adjusting or reducing effort where outcomes are not meeting expectations.
  • Communicate effectively, be receptive to feedback, and navigate differing viewpoints constructively.
  • Balance both short-term execution and long-term growth, establishing scalable processes and continuously optimizing them for greater impact.
  • Bring broad, end-to-end marketing experience, ideally gained in a startup or scale-up environment where multiple aspects of marketing were owned.
  • Build positive relationships across the team, take pride in work, and represent Japan professionally through internal communications and presentations.
  • Have a strong understanding of Japanese business culture, local regulations, and the expectations of Japanese enterprises.
  • 5+ years of Enterprise B2B experience in Regional Marketing in Japan.
  • Experience in Telecom/ Cybersecurity/ Service provider segment preferred.
  • Strong experience running marketing campaigns.
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Business-level English proficiency required.
  • Native or fluent Japanese required.
