About the Role
Lead the delivery of the work program for the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB), acting as a spokesperson and building positive relationships with key stakeholders. Drive discussions in a collaborative environment, focusing on public interest and audit/assurance issues. Interpret choices in a strategic context and navigate multicultural settings while liaising with senior representatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct information-gathering activities and research, engaging with global stakeholders.
- Develop standards, non-authoritative materials, and consultation papers in coordination with project teams and stakeholders.
- Prepare and participate in discussions for IAASB groups and action outcomes.
- Serve as a liaison with key stakeholders for assigned projects.
- Support outreach activities in coordination with Board leadership and the senior technical team.
- Support the production of quarterly reports to the Public Interest Oversight Board.
- Travel approximately 20 days per year.
Requirements
- Experience leading the delivery of complex projects with employed and volunteer experts in a public interest-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of audit and assurance issues; standard-setting process experience is a plus.
- Understanding of special considerations for public interest entities, SMEs/SMPs, or public sector entities.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
- Excellent technical and project management skills.
- Strong computer literacy.
- At least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accountancy or a relevant field.
- At least three years of relevant post-qualification work experience.
