About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a Court Reporter to join Australia's largest media organisation, News Corp's NewsWire, providing valuable content for all mastheads, news.com.au, the Australian, and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Create unique and engaging news stories and features
- Write both hard-hitting news and engaging features
- Work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced newsroom
- Contribute to a multimedia newsroom serving one of Australia’s largest mastheads across digital and print platforms
- Some weekend and intra-state travel may be required
Requirements
- A history of court reporting for print and online
- Proven track record of delivering front page stories
- Display a good understanding of social media and its application to your stories
- A solid understanding of news writing, journalistic ethics and media law
- High levels of personal organisation and time management
- Flexibility around working days and hours
- Must have personal driver's licence
