About the Role
As the Creative Director, you will be the conductor of creative teams, ensuring client deliverables are met on time and maintaining positive energy. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and design execution to bring integrated campaigns to life for emerging tourism and hospitality brands. An entrepreneurial mindset and a service-first approach are essential.
Responsibilities
- Set the creative direction across client accounts, from the first brief through final delivery.
- Turn strategy into clear concepts and integrated campaigns across digital, social, print, outdoor, presentations and experiences.
- Invest real time in developing creative talent through hands-on mentorship.
- Inspire the team and dazzle prospective clients during the RFP process with presentations.
- Write, design, edit and/or art direct to strengthen creative output.
- Give team members clear direction and practical feedback.
- Set and maintain high standards for concept, craft, and execution under pressure.
- Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities effectively.
- Balance creative ambition with timelines, budgets, and team capacity in collaboration with account and project management.
- Improve agency workflows from briefing to delivery.
- Make clear decisions, raise issues early, and maintain team focus during tight projects.
- Advocate for ideas, the team, and necessary resources.
- Step up during agency peaks like pitches, launches, and tight deadlines.
- Lead and develop staff and freelance creatives across disciplines.
- Create accountability without fear or unnecessary drama.
- Build a culture of curiosity, ownership, collaboration, and direct communication.
- Protect the team and keep energy constructive during challenging projects.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of creative agency experience, including leading integrated campaigns across multiple clients.
- A portfolio showcasing strong ideas across digital, social, print, outdoor, presentations, and experiential work.
- A background in design or art direction with the ability to write, edit, and improve work across disciplines.
- Experience leading staff and freelance creatives from concept through final delivery.
- Confidence in presenting ideas, handling feedback, and working directly with senior clients.
- Strong working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Ability to manage scope, timelines, budgets, and resources while prioritizing the work.
- Experience with tourism, hospitality, hotels, resorts, attractions, or travel brands is a plus.
- Experience helping emerging brands define their voice and build integrated campaigns is a plus.
- Practical fluency with AI tools and modern creative workflows is a plus.
- Must be a strategic thinker who can concept and develop integrated campaigns.
- Must be a hands-on designer who can help bring campaigns to life.
- Must have an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Must have a service-first mindset.
- Must be willing to 'get into it' and not just manage from a distance.
- Must not bring big-agency bureaucracy or dogma.
- Must be kind and open-hearted, with a willingness to surf both the peaks and valleys of agency life.
- Jaded, judgy, and anti-client energy are hard deal breakers.
- Must believe manifesting ideas and making work is fun and a gift.
- Must prefer small and mighty over large, loud, and layered.
- Must understand that strong opinions do not require a big ego.
- Must have moved past the phase where only famous brands and big budgets matter.
- Must make clear decisions, handle pressure well, and keep work moving when priorities shift.
- Must be curious, direct, and open to better ways of working.
- Must care about the quality of the work, the people making it, and the business needs.
