About the Role
Serve as a senior point of contact for a diverse client base, including songwriters, estates, publishers, and catalog owners. Onboard new agreements, cultivate client relationships, and oversee royalty distribution processes. Act as an internal advocate for clients and collaborate across departments.
Responsibilities
- Report to SVP, Global Client Services
- Supervise junior team members responsible for day-to-day client communication on publishing administration matters (Licensing, Royalties, Copyright, Income Tracking)
- Serve as senior point of contact for DMP client base
- Onboard new agreements and cultivate meaningful relationships with existing clients
- Oversee quarterly royalty distribution processes
- Organize department data resources (Airtable, Curve, Salesforce)
- Handle all administrative client correspondence professionally and timely
- Act as an internal advocate for Downtown clients
- Interact across departments at Downtown Music Publishing
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in a client-facing role within the music industry, preferably in music publishing administration
- Prior experience managing staff
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently to meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make judgment calls
Skills
- Familiarity with Google Suite
- Familiarity with CRM programs such as Salesforce
- Familiarity with project-management tools such as Airtable, Curve, and Music Maestro
- Very strong written and interpersonal communication skills
