About the Role
This role is focused on the HR Strategic Leadership position, responsible for supporting all three BearingPoint related entities in the U.S. as the company's complexity increases and HR functions are split.
Responsibilities
- Manage the relationship with Sequoia, the vendor for payroll and benefits, including acting as the main point of contact, troubleshooting issues, monitoring performance, and evaluating providers.
- Work with external legal firms to handle immigration-related activities, ensuring employees' immigration status is updated or renewed according to BearingPoint and legal processes.
- Collaborate with internal firmwide HR on legal issues related to HR.
- Review and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HR regulatory requirements, manage mandatory reporting, and assess the HR regulatory compliance impact of expanding into new states or cities.
- Oversee HR-related due diligence for acquisition candidates and manage the onboarding of new companies and their employees.
- Serve as the U.S. representative to the BearingPoint global HR community, ensuring adherence to firmwide policies and processes.
- Mentor assigned HR staff, providing coaching on HR topics, ensuring compliance, and helping resolve conflicts.
- Review trends from WinningTemp, Exit Interviews, and general U.S. culture with entity HR staff, providing coaching and serving as an escalation point.
- Lead annual compensation planning with each entity, providing firmwide guidelines and ensuring planned compensation aligns with company policy.
- Identify training requirements driven by regulatory compliance and ensure all staff complete training by the deadline.
- Coordinate the selection of staff for firmwide trainings, ensuring the U.S. allocates resources against assigned seats.
- Serve as an escalation point for HR-related issues for employees in all U.S. entities.
- Support recruitment processes, including working with recruiting firms and independent candidates.
Requirements
- 7+ years of HR experience, preferably in professional services or consulting.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and results-oriented work habits.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of U.S. colleagues.
- Knowledgeable about federal, state, and local HR regulatory compliance and reporting.
- Experience overseeing a third party for payroll and benefits and leading the evaluation of new service providers.
- Experience driving culture change in growing environments and creating employee-related KPIs to monitor team sentiment.
- Interest in working in an international environment.
- Highly motivated and self-driven.
