About the Role
Van Bortel Automotive Group is seeking to hire a qualified technician to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring vehicles meet manufacturer specifications and are ready for sale.
Responsibilities
- Complete pre-delivery inspection of new vehicles per manufacturer specifications.
- Complete NY State Inspection of sold vehicles.
- Install accessories on sold vehicles.
- Complete used car inspections and mechanical repairs to prepare vehicles for saleable inventory.
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Communicate with Service Advisor.
- Execute repairs to dealership and manufacturer specifications.
Requirements
- NYS Inspector license required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Positive, friendly attitude, with eagerness to improve.
- Ability to enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
- Teammate with ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications.
- Attention to detail required.
