About the Role
The Marketing Specialist – Business Development coordinates and executes marketing campaigns and stewardship initiatives across major donor audiences to cultivate awareness, affinity, engagement, and support for the WWP mission. This role also provides marketing support to WWP signature events and donor stewardship teams.
Responsibilities
- Implement and support the management of established marketing plans in support of major giving objectives.
- Coordinate and execute stewardship and fundraising marketing campaigns in partnership with agency partners, Communications, and Business Development teams.
- Support the creative and content development process and manage timelines for assigned marketing plans and campaigns.
- Monitor active cultivation and stewardship campaigns and marketing initiatives, measuring effectiveness and recommending optimizations.
- Coordinate with agencies and vendors to ensure campaigns are executed accurately and on schedule.
- Perform print and data proofing and provide feedback and approvals.
- Ensure compliance and consistency with WWP brand standards, messaging frameworks, visual assets, and key terminology.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Stay current on major donor, stewardship, and fundraising marketing trends.
- Support, attend, and participate in WWP events, campaigns, donor engagement initiatives, and other organizational activities.
- Effectively communicate WWP's mission, vision, purpose, and values, as well as the importance of donors, supporters, and partners.
- Provide general project support for the Marketing – Business Development team.
- Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings.
Requirements
- Four years of marketing experience.
- Two years of experience managing and executing omnichannel marketing campaigns and/or partner/client activations.
- One year of nonprofit experience focused on fundraising or account management (Preference).
- One year of experience using project management software (Preference).
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of donor engagement, fundraising communications, and relationship-based marketing principles.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks, meet deadlines, and effectively coordinate complex projects.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, agencies, and external partners.
- Ability to evaluate marketing performance and apply insights to optimize campaign effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Service-oriented mindset with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Resourceful, organized, dependable, and efficient.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Salary/Compensations
- Colorado: $60,211 - $75,264
- Chicago, IL, San Diego, CA, and Washington State: $65,945 - $82,432
- Washington, D.C.: $68,812 - $86,016
- New York, NY: $71,680 - $89,600
