About the Role

Sledgehammer Games is seeking a Dialogue Designer to contribute to a fresh AAA aural experience for their next project. This role involves reporting to the Dialogue Director and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dialogue using proprietary tools.

Responsibilities

  • Edit, design, and process dialogue assets for all aspects of the game.
  • Collaborate with the Dialogue and Narrative Teams to ensure excellent inter-departmental communication and alignment of goals.
  • Design interactive and linear dialogue.
  • Implement dialogue assets using proprietary tools.
  • Apply studio and departmental standard methodologies for dialogue workflows and systems.
  • Inspire teamwork and collaboration within and outside the Audio Department.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of various aspects of game dialogue.
  • Some knowledge of both linear and interactive dialogue systems.
  • Minimum three years of experience in game audio development.
  • Shipped one major title.
  • Understanding of PS5, XBOX Series X, and PC audio functionality, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Experience with at least one major digital audio workstation.
  • Experience with middleware programs such as Wwise and Fmod.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization skills.
  • Individual contributor with at least 5+ years experience or combination with College degree.
  • FPS/Multi-player experience a plus.
  • Audio scripting experience.
  • Continuing Education Certificate, Professional or advanced degree in programming, audio engineering, or similar preferred.
