About the Role

A Tribeca family seeks a full-time, live-out nanny to provide nurturing care for their two young children. The role involves managing daily routines, engaging children in age-appropriate activities, and light housekeeping related to the children. The family seeks a long-term partner who is warm, calm, emotionally intelligent, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing care and interact with children
• Manage busy afternoons with children in an engaging, loving, and age-appropriate way
• Perform light housekeeping (child-related tidying/laundry/cooking)
• Prepare meals for children
• Clean up/tidy/organize bedroom and play/toy areas
• Research and plan playdates and activities
• Manage children's schedules and appointments as needed
• Demonstrate professionalism and discretion at all times

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of childcare experience supporting busy homes
• Authorization to work in the US
• Fluency in both oral and written English
• Ability and interest to commit long term with the family
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
• Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
• An open and flexible schedule
• Ability to travel with the family 1-2 times per year
• Comfortable working in a partnership/alongside parents and other caregivers
