About the Role

Establish and own the Group’s forward-looking planning, modelling, business intelligence, and financial analysis capability. This role will transform existing FP&A activities into a scalable function, enhance business intelligence, and provide management with clearer performance visibility, forecasts, KPIs, and scenarios, allowing the CFO to focus on strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Group forecasting process, including rolling forecasts, reforecasts and annual budgeting in partnership with the CFO and business leaders.
  • Maintain clear assumptions, drivers and ownership across the forecasting model.
  • Challenge forecast assumptions and provide evidence-based views on risks and opportunities.
  • Develop scenario and sensitivity analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
  • Own the Group financial model and be responsible for its accuracy, structure, maintenance and development.
  • Update and enhance the model as the business, product set, jurisdictions and commercial model evolve.
  • Ensure the model is sufficiently robust, transparent and well documented for use by senior management.
  • Build new analytical tools and supporting models where required for strategic projects, investments or new initiatives.
  • Provide high-quality analysis of revenue, gross profit and other performance drivers, with clear commentary on movements and trends.
  • Own recurring management information above gross profit, including analysis of pricing, margins, revenue mix and key commercial costs.
  • Produce MD / senior management reporting, communications and tailored analysis for decision-making.
  • Analyse introducing-broker economics, bank charges, commercial costs and other material financial drivers.
  • Identify trends, risks and opportunities that require management attention and translate them into actionable recommendations.
  • Own and develop the Group’s management information and business intelligence capability, ensuring key performance data is accessible, reliable and decision-useful.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting packs for senior management, including KPIs across revenue, client activity, margins, costs, cash generation and other key business drivers.
  • Work with Finance, Technology and other data owners to improve the quality, consistency and accessibility of underlying data sources.
  • Automate recurring reporting and analysis wherever practical, reducing reliance on manual spreadsheets and improving reporting timeliness.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the use of Power BI, AI and other analytical tools across the Finance function and wider business.
  • Establish consistent definitions, data sources and reporting methodologies so that management information is aligned across the Group.
  • Work with the Treasury & Regulatory Finance Manager to link profitability, working capital and cash generation.
  • Help explain the bridge from revenue and gross profit through to free business cash and identify drivers of variance.
  • Ensure forecast cash outcomes are consistent with the underlying operating model and business assumptions.
  • Provide analysis supporting decisions on growth, investment, pricing, cost base and resource allocation.
  • Act as a finance partner to senior stakeholders, helping them understand performance and make better decisions.
  • Support the CFO on strategic projects, acquisitions, new products, international expansion and other major initiatives.
  • Develop concise and decision-useful materials for senior management and Board discussions.
  • Continuously improve the quality, timeliness and accessibility of financial insight across the Group.
