Responsibilities
- Receive, count, and inspect parts materials for accurate quantity and quality.
- Process parts requisitions from management or mechanic leaders.
- Perform daily/weekly inventory counts to ensure proper identification and re-supply needs.
- Deliver or pick up parts when required.
- Lift up to 75lbs.
- Clean and organize the parts room weekly.
- Distribute requested parts to mechanics.
- Receive parts requisition order forms from mechanics and other maintenance personnel.
Requirements
- Two years of parts stock room experience, preferably in Transit, or related experience in automotive, trucking, or Fleet Maintenance.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- General computer database knowledge, including RTA, Microsoft Office, Cummins Quick Serve, FEDEX Freight Manager Systems, and ability to learn various vendor software.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or ability to learn vehicle parts.
- Ability to operate a Forklift and pass the In-house Forklift Training Certification Program.
