About the Role

Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively with the other After Care Teachers to organize and plan the daily After Care Program
- Supports in planning activities for the students, which may include homework completion for older students
- Prepares materials for student activities that are engaging and educational
- Creates outdoor activities that include a balance of free play and structured games
- Supervises students on the playground and indoors in all weather conditions
- Liaises with other teachers and parents when required to ensure the needs of students are met
- Communicates with parents on a daily basis during pick-up time
- Administers and supervises daily snack with the students and adheres to health and safety protocols (e.g., student food allergies)
- Tracks attendance of students
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in ECE, CYW, Child Studies, Education or another related field
- Experience working with students 4 to 12 years of age in a school, camp or childcare setting
- Knowledge of effective programs, sports and games that enhance the learning of girls
- Current in First Aid/CPR preferred or willing to obtain
- Excellent verbal and written skills
