About the Role

Stampli is building finance software using an AI-native approach grounded in real financial workflows. We are seeking a Principal UX Expert to deeply understand our users, from finance teams to executives, ensuring that user needs and problems are identified before solutions are designed. This role focuses on customer insight and product judgment, challenging and coaching teams, and potentially working hands-on with design artifacts to test ideas. Reporting to the VP of Product, you will be a key source of customer insight within the Product team, partnering closely with Product Managers and the design team.

Responsibilities

  • Run ongoing user research to build a first-hand understanding of Stampli’s users, buyers, administrators, and decision-makers.
  • Partner with Product Managers to validate the target persona and problem from feature initiation through Product Review.
  • Partner with Product Managers and designers from feature initiation through Design Review, bringing customer context and challenging assumptions.
  • Build and maintain Stampli’s persona libraries and operationalize them through AI-powered UX evaluation tools.
  • Create or contribute to wireframes and prototypes when hands-on exploration is the most effective way to test a concept.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to shape product and UX copy and messaging.
  • Partner with Product and Product Marketing on Product-Led Growth (PLG) and Product-Led Sales (PLS) experiments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in UX, product design, service design, user research, or product strategy with a track record of turning customer insight into shipped product.
  • Proven approach to deep user research, including customer calls, recorded onboardings and demos, and behavioral analytics.
  • Senior in-house UX experience at a high-craft B2B SaaS product, or a background at a top-tier design or product consultancy.
  • Deep understanding of finance personas and workflows (accounts payable, procurement, controllership, ERP, or fintech).
  • Ability to apply deep persona and business-context understanding to product copy, UX copy, and messaging.
  • Experience with growth experimentation and a strong understanding of growth levers across Product-Led Growth and Product-Led Sales.
  • Strong systems thinking and product judgment.
  • Comfort working across Product, Design, Sales, Customer Success, and Product Marketing.
  • Comfort working across US and Israel time zones.
  • Hands-on experience structuring research into reusable persona libraries, evaluation criteria, and AI workflows.
